Painting with Light.

 

A very simple, but great fun little project.

 

Place a set of Christmas tree lights on a table (lit).

 

Set up a camera on a sturdy tripod looking down on the lights.

 

Set the camera on 'bulb' setting. This will mean the camera shutter stays open as long as the shutter button is depressed.

 

Press the shutter, and then get someone to drag the lights across the table.

 

View the results. 

 

Too light? Stop the lens down.

Too dark? Open the lens up or make a longer exposure.
